The
Trust has been given special access by the Gibraltar Museum to visit the
archaeological excavations at Vanguard Cave, sister cave to Gorham’s
Cave, during this years excavation season. There will be 3 visits
limited to a group size of 10 per group. Please bring a bottle of
drinking water and a snack.
The
group will descend to the cave at 2pm and start the ascent with the team
at 5:30pm for an approx 6pm exit. It will not be possible to leave this
tour early. This is an MOD secured area so entry and exit times are out
of our control.
Important Note: Due to the nature of the site, those attending need
to be confident in their level of fitness and ability to descend the
300+ steps to the site and climb them again at the end of the day.
You will also be asked to sign an indemnity form confirming that you are
visiting the site at your own risk. |
